Emily Wheeler: 2024

Emily's dedication to music and leadership is evident through her numerous
accomplishments. She has been a pivotal member of the Van Buren High School band, which claimed the state champion title in marching band for three of her four years as one of the Drum Majors. Notably, Emily is a first chair bassoonist, a rare and prestigious position reflecting her exceptional talent. Emily boasts a three-year record of making all-state, and due to her outstanding performances at all-region and all-state competitions, she was also selected for the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall, where she performed this past February. She has a 3.5 GPA and plans to major in Music Education at University of Central Arkansas, Fall 2024.
